This is really cute. I don't live in an area that doesn't normally get cold enough for ice skating. Therefore, I don't think about skates so that is a fun idea.

Ice skating has been a part of my life and my kids lives for a long time and this ornament is perfect for us. I love the colors you chose also.

Your ornament is so very different! I just love it! I also love the fact that you could hang this one anywhere in the house and keep it out later! I have a snowman collection I keep out all year, so when i make this one....guess where it is going!!!!!

Thanks for the darling ornament. When I was a teenager I had blue figure skates. Mine had tan "fur" around the tops. I can't wait to stitch yours. Merry Christmas.

I love the skates. They remind me of childhood memories where we would put on a pair of skates way too big and skate on the neighbors pond. I never did get the hang of it but I can use a needle and thread very well.

What a cute ornament. This is the time of year when we hope the ice will be good for skating before the heavy snows arrive. It doesn't happen every year, but when it does, it's the most fun.
