I love this place so much. I've been there a couple times now. The owners of Crown and Crumpet used to own a store called la Place du Soleil, and I sold them some jewelry and collage art back in the day so I've known Amy for a long while it seems. Not only is she a really great business woman, she's really nice too.
Today my mom and I made a special trip into the city just to go there. We ordered tea for two which came with 2 pots of tea, tea sandwiches, scones, and dessert. It was all wonderful and you just can't beat this ambiance. All the Cath Kidston fabric makes me melt.
You can see there's been a lot of shopping on Etsy too. I see a lot I recognize here.
In the front of the store, there's a little boutique that is very much like what la Place du Soleil was like. And I recognized these from Lori Marie right away!
I also recognize these although I can't remember whose they are. I bet you do though and can tell me.
If you are ever in San Francisco, put Crown and Crumpet at the TOP of your must see list. It's in Ghiradelli Square which is also a must see.
oh my goodness, Bari! I was just on their site earlier this week! I have to get over there one of these days! Looks fantastic! I should call and see if they can do something gluten-free! What a fantastic dreamy place to go on a cold day like today! :) You got some dreamy photos. Thanks for sharing!

What a cute and whimsical shop. I'm sorry to say that I was in San Francisco Spring 2010 and missed Crown and Crumpet, even though I was staying right next to Ghiradelli Square. I won't miss it next time I'm there!

Elizabeth and I went to their shop, before the C&C and loved it. Did you drive or take Bart?

This looks like such a great shop to spend a few hours in with a good friend! Too bad I live on the opposite coast!

Hi Bari -- Just a quick question about your previous post about the Slice Fabrique. Are you going to be doing more dies for the Slice Fabrique in the future? I have been going back and forth about whether I want to buy a Slice Fabrique or not (I do have an Accuquilt GO). However, I love the dies for the Slice Fabrique and after I saw your sneek peaks I really think I want one. Please let me know if you plan to do more dies -- that probably will convince me to buy one!! Thanks for your help.

I left the Bay Area in 1997 - but enjoyed many visits to Ghiradelli Square while living there - esp. the street performers (Jason the Juggler was my favorite!)
Hope to get back to the West Coast again someday =-)
