Today my mission was to find props for book photos. So I headed out to one of my favorite antique shops, Blue Door in Livermore, and proceeded to spend the better part of the morning there. That place is packed with stuff so you have to go around and around to see it all. But here are the goodies I got...
Of course, I managed to squeak in a couple of goodies that weren't for The Book (you can guess as to which ones).
But I did resist these things which were kinda' irresistible...
This pile of vintage ribbon had my name all over it:
And these totally made me think of Miss Joanna:
Now I'm going to clean up this mess of a studio so I can get some work done. And the side effect of that may be to give you a virtual tour using the Flip Cam... Stay tuned.
Okay... you are so right! I want those and there is no way on this planet that I am going out to Livermore tomorrow in this rain with what I have to accomplish this weekend. Waahhh! Nobody else go... maybe it will still be there next week. Or better yet, maybe I can beg the infamous pamkittymorning or elizabeth to go over there and snag it for me :-)! What are the chances that's gonna happen!

Oh My Goodness! I heart those vintage sewing patterns! and the magazine, and the notions... OK. I have a little bit of a vintage sewing stuff addiction. At least I know I am not alone. :)

Your goodies look wonderful!
I have never been to the "Blue Door" in Livermore but it sounds wonderful. Maybe I can talk my hubby into letting me take a peek when we are down that direction for the CNY parade in SF. We don't head down there as much as we used to so I try to get lots of fun things in each trip.
I LOVE that red teapot and those funky flower brooches. Super fun!
