Are you guys totally sick of hearing about this fabric line coming out? I think I might be sick of talking about it. I know my kids are really disgusted with me. Fabric this, fabric that. Fabric schmabric. They're fed up with me.
But it's consuming me. It's all I can think about. So, you are stuck with me. And my kids are stuck with me. Please don't leave me. I promise to talk about other stuff... soon, I think.
I still don't have yardage, but I hear it might be coming shortly (insert prayer here). I do have bits of fabric that I'm pulling together into items. You already saw some of it, and I couldn't help myself and tweeted about this yesterday:
Altering existing clothing is going to be my new favorite thing. This is a jacket from Banana Republic outlet that I got for $35. I replaced the collar and buttons and added a little trim to the cuffs, and now Super Husband has stopped calling it the banana jacket. Yay. I did not like that. I thought it was such a cool jacket. Poo on him.
Today I finished that bag I had been working on too:
I think it turned out rather cute, if I must say so myself.
I'm still working on patterns. It's killing me. All the details. I had no idea. But it's going to happen come hell or high water.
That's that. I'll be back with updates here and there and everywhere.
Hope you all are having a great week!
You've stopped at the online journal of Bari Ackerman (the J. is for Jill, my middle name). I am a fabric, sewing pattern and surface designer. I love to create. And, I love to share ideas and dreams with other creative people. I hope you'll stay for a visit. And, feel free to chime in on the conversation. You know, so I don't think I'm talking to myself. Thanks for stopping by!
