Patchwork Cuffs...
I made a bunch of these yesterday. Oh, how I do love that green and orange mix. I thought I'd throw in the blue for good measure. It just seemed to work there somehow. Part of my design process involves throwing stuff into the air and seeing where it lands. ;)
Today I basically took the day off for an applique class over at Quilters Inn. I would describe the typical applique I do as collagey, scrappy... "scraplique" as you've maybe read here before... Today I learned the real thing. I loooooooved it. I learned the freezer paper and starch method. And I bought this fab tool called a stiletto which I probably should have known about already. The whole process of putting it together... oh joy! I have another class next Friday, and I'll show you the results.
Happy Friday.

That cuff is to die for! How fun! I want to take a class on something soon. I'm itching to get out of the house.

oooh, sounds interesting! I am all into yellow, orange & green lately. All my life, I've disliked those colors, but now they seem to be the first ones I pick...over and over. For some reason, though, I can never find the right green in clothes. I have red hair and my dh likes me in green. Duh, I just figured out what to do with some of those greens in the use-me-now-please pile! ;-)

This is totally cute! Love the blue bling embellishment! Going to have to try that "throw it up in the air" technique :)
